Margaret was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She resided in Quincy, MA. until she moved to Largo with her late husband Fred in 1980. She is survived by her children Carl Abbott of Largo and Gail Chieco of Oceanside, CA; grandchildren Cheryl Higgins of Oceanside, CA, Kelsey Chieco of Fallbrook, CA and Dennis Jr of Quincy, MA. Loving great-grandmother and aunt of many nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and nephews.
She was a Eucharistic Minister and secretary for St. Jerome’s Catholic Church for 17 years which included creating the weekly bulletin. Prior, she worked as Executive Secretary for Arthur Rutenberg Homes and Executive Assistant for Goldome Bank in St. Petersburg. She was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, loved gardening and word puzzles. Her kindness and compassion led her to never meet a stranger. Her devout devotion to her faith was lived daily. She was well respected and loved by many that were blessed to know her.
Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday March 10, 2022 at St. Jerome Catholic Church and a private burial will follow.
