Mark O'Brien

O’BRIEN, Mark age 86 of Largo passed peacefully April 3, 2010 at Largo Medical Center with his wife, Sheila (Fripp) and daughter, Christine O’Brien by his side. Mark was born in Kilrush, County Clare Ireland on April 25, 1924. He moved to England in 1949 where he met his loving wife of 59 years. They had two sons, Stephen (Kim) and Martin (Dorris). Immigrated to Canada in 1957 where Christine (Peter) was born. Then moved to Queens, NY and Patrick (Cathy) was born. Mark was a lifetime member of Local 608 of the Brotherhood of Carpenters for 30 years. Mark and Sheila retired to Largo at the age of 65. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and shuffle board. He was retired for 20 years and truly enjoyed his life. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by a brother Tom (Nora) in Ireland, four granddaughters; Malinda, Sara, twins Colleen and Claire, many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 9, 2010 at 10:30 am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel in Largo, 562-2080.
