Mary Molly Lou Kranz Hammell

Hammell, Mary Lou "Molly" 84, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Suncoast (formerly Woodside) Hospice Care Center Mid Pinellas. Molly was born in Great Falls, Montana on January 24, 1929 to the late Charles and Lucille Kranz. She attended school years 1-12 in Great Falls, Montana and attended Montana State in Bozeman, where she met and married her husband, Al. While there, she graduated in her major, Commercial Science, was active in an honorary campus service organization called Spurs and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. After graduating in 1952, they moved to Minneapolis where she was a homemaker, homeroom volunteer, and Den Mother. In 1971, a transfer brought them to Largo. Here she was a homemaker, involved in activities with other transferred family friends and active in the Clearwater Alpha Gamma Delta Alumni Club, serving in several officer positions. She enjoyed bowling, reading and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Allan "Al", sons Scott (Monica) and Bruce (Beth), sister Marcy Thomas, brother Dale Kranz, grandchildren Doug (Staci) Hammell, Kevin Hammell, Allan (Hilary) Hammell, Neil (Connie) Hammell, Anne (Josh) Deitrich and three great grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for Saturday January 18th at 2 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel 13401 Indian Rocks Road Largo FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Suncoast Hospice at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
