Mary Qualls-Cushing, age 82, of Adamsville, TN passed away May 5, 2022, surrounded by family. She is survived by her three children – James Qualls, Jr, Julie Qualls, and Jeffery Qualls, and her granddaughter, Arielle Pollack. Services are still being planned at this time.
Her life was defined, even in childhood, by a desire for adventure. Her love of exploration and seeking out new experiences, led her both around the world and into diverse career paths. Her independent and entrepreneurial nature led to success in the non-traditional businesses of auto repair and custom home building. Twice widowed, she was an advocate for single mothers - working within the community to develop training programs for improved employment.
Her spirit of adventure led to sailing the Caribbean, exploring Europe, and shopping in Hong Kong. And when she was not on the road, her home was filled with friends and family, celebrating every holiday or event. “Family is everything,” she would say, in good times or bad. She touched so many lives and made friends wherever she went.
She was a fierce personality and the matriarch of our family. The world is far less vibrant without her.
