Matthew Robert Lonardo

LONARDO, Matthew Robert age 17, of Largo passed away Nov 10, 2013. Matthew was a very loving and caring son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew, who brought light to each life he touched. Matthew held his friends and family in high regard in being a large part of who he was. He was a brother who loved his two sisters more than anything. Matthew was someone who brought his family great joy just by walking through the door for Sunday brunch. He took great pride in rooting for the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Boston Red Sox every season with a ruthless passion. Matthew was a sophomore at Seminole High School and was a lifetime Pinellas County resident. Growing up, Matthew played baseball for Gulf Beaches Little League and enjoyed playing all sports. He was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by his friends and family. Matthew is survived by his mother; Phyllis Lonardo, father; Chris Lonardo, step-mother ; Amy Lonardo, sisters; Lauren and Courtney Lonardo, step-brother; Steven Verino, grandmothers; Anne Lonardo and Alfreda Koly, and nephew; Aiden Crinnian. He also leaves behind eleven loving aunts and uncles which includes Bobby and Liz Lonardo, Kathy and Tony Perna, Robin and Sam Carranante, and John and Krystal Lonardo, 16 cousins and many friends. He is predeceased by paternal grandfather Robert Lonardo and aunt Karen DeFrenna. Funeral services will be held on Friday Nov 15 2013 at 11 am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel in Largo. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Visitation hours are planned for Thurs Nov 14 from 4-6 pm at the funeral home, followed by a Pastoral message at 6 pm by Rev Timothy Kroll of Northside Baptist Church.
