With a heavy heart and teary eyes, we have said goodbye to a wonderful woman on Saturday March 9, 2024, in Largo, Florida. She was many things to many people. She wore many hats and wore them well. Michele Berry, a college graduate, a mother, a grandmother, a friend... A sturdy shoulder. She endured a tough battle against cancer and fought hard. Unfortunately, she ultimately succumbed to this devastating and aggressive disease.
Michele is survived by her children, Mark Berry Jr & wife Jennifer Berry, Ashley Bluze & husband Richard Bluze; and five grandchildren, Evelynne, Brea, Jonthan, Michael, and Richie. We have big shoes to fill for a woman with such small feet.
Michele was a compassionate and loving woman. She would go out of her way to help the ones she loved even if it meant sacrificing something for herself, especially when it came to her grandkids. She was led by her heart. She was strong and opinionated. A woman who wouldn't take "no" as an answer and "can't" wasn't in her vocabulary. She was funny and kind but would be the first to tell you when you were wrong. It was easy for her to bounce in a room and get everyone smiling. It was also no chore to stop a squabble between the kids with a well-timed glare. She had a way with words that seemed effortless.
Like many things in life, hardship has woven in. With all the good memories there are times when days are filled with sadness. As a family we are tasked with sharing that burden of grief.
Especially with the loss of a loved one. We strive to lighten that load with all sorts of things.
Sometimes it's a fond memory, it could be shared feelings, a sturdy shoulder, and even just silent company.
The family would like to thank Suncoast Hospice and Serenity Gardens for all the support and care in this time of need.
