Paul Cottenier, 78 of Pensacola, Fl died suddenly Monday, May 24, 2021. Paul was born on February 2, 1943, in Providence, RI to Paul F and Anna H Cottenier who preceded him in death. Paul previously lived in the Clearwater, Fl area and Independence, VA. He moved to Pensacola in 2018. He is survived by his daughter Dawn Polk of Marietta, GA, her two granddaughters, Isabella and Kaylee, his brother Michael and many friends.
Paul served in the Air Force after high school and had many jobs from auto mechanic to truck driver after military service. He enjoyed fishing but above all loved raising goats. He maintained a standing herd of about 50 goats at his Floppy Ears Goat Farm in Independence, VA. The herd usually swelled to about 100 animals during spring kidding. Because of his constant attention to each one, each goat was named and would respond to its name when called. He sold the kids, often to 4H’ers, but never sold the animals for food.
A commitment ceremony will be held at Serenity Gardens in Largo on September 27, 2021.
