He is survived by his son, Stephen (Carol) Hanney of Lakeland, Florida; daughter-in-law, Missy Hanney of Hudson, Florida; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Michael) Dean, Brittany (James) Amato, and Preston Hanney; and four great-grandchildren, Mikenzi and Mason Dean, Gianna Amato, and Avery Hanney.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Norma; his son, Scott Hanney, his brothers, Harold (Sonny), James (Bud), and Roger Hanney; and his sister, Betty Wenckus.
Paul retired after 35 years with Florida Power. Upon retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spending the summers in the mountains of North Carolina.
Memorial service is as follows: Monday, November 17, 2025 at Serenity Funeral Home at 10:30 AM followed by a short service and burial at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
