85, of Seminole and formerly of Rochester, NY, slipped away peacefully January 4, 2011. She was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Largo. She worked for Eastman Kodak for 18 years. Above all, she was an amazing mother and valued her family. Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor; son, Thomas; daughter, Mary Ann Elwell; brothers, Jack Nugent and Cornelius “Hoagie” Nugent; and sister, Mary Andrews. She is survived by her loving daughter, Rita (Terry) Childs, Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren, Brian Childs and Laura (Brian) Hass; great-granddaughter, Emily Hass; as well as extended family members and her close friends at Harbor Greens. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Phyllis’ name to Suncoast Hospice.
