CORNING, Robert C., 60 of St Petersburg, Florida passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by loving family. Robert was born on February 27, 1956 in Rockaway Beach, New York to the late John and Cecilia (Larkin) Corning. He moved to this area in 1996 coming from Belle Harbor, New York. Robert retired as a Financial Planner and was a member of St Jerome Catholic Church in Largo, FL. He is survived by his loving wife Eileen Corning of St Petersburg along with a son Gerard Corning and two daughters Julia Whitaker and Kathryn Carlson and two grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers Tommy, Jackie, Danny and Billy and a sister Joan. Memorial Contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society or the Special Olympics. Visitation will be on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL, Ph# 727-562-2080.
