

HOLTHAUS, Robert W., Sr., 81, of Redington Shores , FL, passed away May 23, 2011. He was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Florida from Maryland. He received his BS from the University of Maryland. He was a pharmacist, "Doc Bob", with Beacon Pharmacy, Odenton, MD for 43 years , Maryland Pharmaceutical Association, a member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, Millersville, MD, a former Commissioner for the Town of Redington Shores, past Chairman of Planning and Zoning Board for the Town of Redington Shores, past Treasurer of the Redington Towers Beach Club, past member of the BOD of RT3, a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo, FL, a US Army veteran; was former head of the pharmacy department at George E. Meade Hospital in Odenton and a member of the American Legion Post #273, Madeira Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Adelaide (Grimes) ; brother, Donald and sister in law, Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha; children, LuAnn (R. Bruce) Stadler, Bobbi Holthaus-Bullen and Robert “R.J.” (Meghan) Holthaus; brother, Thomas W. (Sherry) Holthaus; 4 grandchildren , Tony, Lauren and Ryan and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10-11 am Wednesday , June 1, 2011 at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD 21054. A funeral mass and burial will be held at Noon, Wednesday at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave. South., Millersville, MD 21108.
