Robert “Bob” H. Jablonski, age 74, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025.
A graduate of Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey, Class of 1969, Bob was a proud member of the school’s very first Spartan football team, playing as an offensive lineman. He also contributed to the basketball team during his time there.
Bob’s lifelong passion for automobiles began in his youth, ignited by cars like his 1961 Impala convertible with four- speed on the floor, a 1966 yellow Tri-Power GTO, a blue 1968 Corvette with side pipes, and a black 1972 Grand Prix.
That passion led him to a remarkable career in auto sales that spanned over five decades. Bob wasn’t just a car salesman — he was an icon. Known throughout the industry as the “Gentleman of the Showroom,” he built a reputation for integrity, class, being a sharp dresser and deep automotive knowledge.
After relocating to Beverly Hills, California, Bob became known as “Mr. Hollywood,” selling to movie and television personalities. He sold dreams on wheels, specializing in high-end sports and luxury vehicles — including Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Ferraris, McLarens, and even the rare Pagani Huayra. He was also an expert in Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class automobiles. Among his many unique sales was a replica of the world-famous “1966 Batmobile”, which he sold in 2016.
Bob had an uncanny ability to recall every detail about every model — from engine specs and trim packages to the history of the vehicle. But more importantly, he remembered what mattered most to each client. For Bob, selling a car was never just about numbers — it was about connection, experience, and the joy wrapped in horsepower.
Beyond the showroom, Bob served as a mentor to young professionals entering the automotive world, always reminding them: "Know your product — but know your client better."
Most recently, Bob worked for the Dimmitt Automotive Group in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area. He was known for always arriving early and speaking highly of his close friends and colleagues.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Marilyn Jablonski. He is survived by his older brother, Warren Jablonski, and his lifelong best friend, Norman Todd of Flemington, New Jersey, and his cousin, Sue.
Bob’s ashes will be scattered in the waters of the "Gulf of America."
The Jablonski family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Amy and Wayne Moore for their extraordinary kindness and care during Bob’s final days, as well as to the dedicated staff at Morton Plant Hospital.
