Robert R. Rodriguez

Age 79, of Largo, FL, passed away on August 27, 2023. Robert was born on February 2, 1944, in Tampa, Florida to Luciano T. and Dolores F. Rodriguez. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1962. Robert met the love of his life, Katherine A. Rodriguez, who he was married to for 52 wonderful years.

Robert’s career was diverse, he was a Winn Dixie manager, with GTE/Verizon for 27 years as a telephone lineman, and with Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority 12 years before retiring in December 2016. Robert’s dedication and love for his family and God was priority in his life. The joys in his life were Kathy and our family, love for boating, adventurous exploring trips, and his talent as an amazing artist. His motto was, “They made them tough in ‘44” which is a saying he lived by every day. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Katherine A Rodriguez, Dolores F Rodriguez (Mother), Luciano T. Rodriguez (Father), Norma Garcia (Sister). He is survived by his daughter, Debra L. Davis (Barry W. Davis Jr.), grandson, Phillip Robert Davis as well as cherished nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

The family will host a visitation on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 10:30 am at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo FL 33774. The funeral dedication service at 11:30 am, committal at cemetery Serenity Gardens Memorial Park (on same property) at 12:30 pm and reception to following at 1:00pm.
