

WORKMAN, Robert R. “Bob,” Jr., 86 of Largo, FL passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013. Bob was born on April 11, 1927 in Morgantown, WV. He joined the US Navy in 1943 during WWII and was assigned to the USS Poinsett. Bob was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 50 years. He had several occupations throughout his life. He was most proud of his service as a Crossing Guard which he had for 5 years and received the May belle Rollins Award for his outstanding service. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Sybil who died in 2011. Bob is survived by his son Stanley R. “Buddy” James of Crystal River, FL and his daughter Betty (Lenny) Hershman of Leawood, KS., six grandchildren Jana Thomas, David James, Susan (Rob) Sight, Heather (Luke) Wasserman, Hershey Hershman and Becky (Cory) Clark, and his eight great and great great grandchildren Amanda, Meredith, Ben, Bobby, Lilly Mae, Zach and Talbot along with a niece Diana (Don) Leonard and nephew James (Lenita) Curry. Bob loved his neighbors and was always making them goodies. A special “Thank you” to the staff at Largo Medical Center and Hospice House Woodside for the special care and love they gave to Bob while he was in their care. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be offered to the St Jude Hospital or Boys Town or the Paralyzed Veterans. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 3 PM at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL, Ph# 727-562-2080.
