Ray, Roger Buchanan Esq., 78 of Largo died Sunday Sept. 22. Born August 12, 1935 in Tampa, FL. Roger earned his BA from the University of South Florida and MBA at Notre Dame. Roger retired as a CFO following 33 years of service with General Telephone Company. He graduated from Stetson Law School in 1991 with a JD. He became a member of the Florida Bar and served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 6th and 13th Judicial Circuits retiring in 1995. He enjoyed walking, golf, church work, traveling, and nature photography. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary Frye Gaillard Ray; his children Mary Katherine “Mimi” Ray and Roger Buchanan Ray Jr. and his brothers James S. Ray, Col. (USAF, ret.), Ralph J. Ray Jr. Esq. and William David Ray, Col. (USAF, ret). Visitation will be Wednesday (9/25) 5 to 7 PM at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Largo. The Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday (9/26) at The Church of the Ascension, Clearwater. Memorial contributions may be made to The Church of the Ascension or Suncoast Hospice.
