Ronald Alan Scott, 94, of Clearwater Florida died peacefully at home on October 27, 2021. Ron was born May 19, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana to George and Florence Scott. He was a proud graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. He attended Butler University and Earlham College. He enlisted in the United State Navy where he served aboard the USS Twining 540 during the Korean War.
He married Mary Jane Olivey in February 1951 in San Diego, California. Ron and Mary Jane had five children and were married 55 years prior to her passing in 2006
Ron worked for the L M Brown Abstract Company in Indianapolis. In 1968 the Scott family moved to Clearwater Florida where Ron accepted the position of Personnel Director at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo Florida.
Ron had many interests including card games, chess, family history and curating memories for his family and many friends. God has welcomed an honest, loyal and unique man. His memory will be in our hearts forever.
Ron is survived by sons Bradley Scott and Wayne Scott. Grandchildren Ellen, Timothy and Melissa. Great Grandchildren Violet and Theodore. Sister-in-law Nancy Whitaker and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Jane, daughter Ellen, Granddaughter Amanda and sons Brett and Mark as well as his beloved aunt Gayle Mohler.
