

He was the beloved widower of the late Jeanette Porgal to whom he was married 47 years.
Sam was born April 4, 1938, in N Wilkesboro, NC to the late Cromer and Minnie Wren (Teague) Warner.
Sam served 2 yrs. in the National Guard followed by 24 yrs. in the US Air Force. In his early years he flew AWACS with the 552nd Early Born Wing. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant while working with NATO. He went on to attain a degree in Computer Sciences at St. Petersburg Junior College. Sam went on to his second career at the US Postal Service in Clearwater where he served his community for an additional 18 yrs.
Sam is survived by his two children Perry and his wife Lisa of St. Petersburg and Helen Wemmering and her husband Tracy of Goldsboro, NC; seven grandchildren Joseph, Ashley, Sam, Michelle, Desiree, Marissa, and Josh: fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jack and sister Tina (TJ).
A funeral service for Samuel will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 10:30am, Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. Following the funeral service, Sam will be laid to rest at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. A reception will follow the graveside service.
