A graduate of Freedom High School, William went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, he worked in small engine repair for Eastern Rental.
William was not married at the time of his passing. He is survived by his children: Nicholas Girou (Michelle), David Girou, and Michelle Moore; grandchildren: Brianne, Britani, Nicholas II, Nevaeh, Chelsea, and Clifford Moore; and great-grandchildren: Brayden, Larissa, and Rilee. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert Girou (Rita), Donna Sickels (Walter), and Dorothy Fornaro (David).
William was laid to rest with military honors at Florida National Cemetery.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
