William Miles Kucera

KUCERA, William Miles, 79, of Seminole, FL passed away on Wed, November 19, 2014 in Largo Medical Center. Bill was born on September 8, 1935 in Chicago, IL. He grew up in Berwyn, raised by his late parents William & Lillian (Krenger) Kucera. He moved to Seminole, FL in 1986 after retiring from the Berwyn Police Department after 26 years of service. He served in the US Army during the Cold War from 1954-1956. Bill was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Police Association, Boga Ciega Power Squadron and attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Seminole, FL. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia J Kucera of Seminole, FL, a son William P (Linda) Kucera of Oak Park, IL, two daughters, Bonnie (Michael) Considine of Sandwich, IL and Brenda (Porter) Smith of Plainfield, IL; and, step daughter Mary Helen Stimler of Indiana. Bill's siblings include a sister Lori (Robert) Machacek of Lombard, IL and a brother, the late Douglas Kucera, Sr. of Plymouth Indiana. He was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren: William, Nathaniel, and Margaret Kucera; Shaun, Benjamin, Andrew, Michael, Bethany, and Mariah Considine; and, Christopher, Jonathan, Kenneth, Joshua, and Joseph Smith. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Heart Association. An Inurnment Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11 am with Military Honors.
