Smith. Jr, William J 84 of Clearwater, FL passed away on February 11, 2013. He was born on April 15, 1925. Bill was preceded in death by his mother Lilly Bell Smith O’Mara, step father Pop O’Mara and brother in law Jerry. By his side was his dear friend of 30 years Sandra Garciga. Jose & Sandra have been overseeing Bill and his late wife Rudy’s health for many years.
He will be dearly missed by his extended family and loved ones in Hawaii, California, Georgia and North Carolina.
Bill is survived by his sister Vickie, nephew Chuck, Niece Christi, four great nephews and Andy & Yvette and their children who he considered his own.
Bill graduated from Richmond Academy in Augusta, Georgia and Duke University where he played football and made lifelong friends.
He worked for DuPont and Moss Trucking prior to opening South East Air Conditioning in 1971. He had a very successful career, retired in 1984, which allowed him to care for his deceased wife Rudy who he loved so dearly.
