Adam Joseph Lousig-Nont was born in Peoria, Illinois, on August 10, 1982, to Greg and Diana Lousignont. In search of warmer winters, his family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1983, where Adam would spend his life until his passing on November 24, 2024, at the age of 42. Adam embraced the journey to eternal life with our Heavenly Father, a meeting he anticipated with joy rather than fear.
A proud graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, Adam excelled as co-valedictorian in 2000, showcasing his commitment to education and leadership. He continued his academic journey at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology, completing his studies a semester early. By the age of 26, Adam had earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the UNLV Dental School. His passion for dentistry led him to purchase his own practice in July 2022, where he built a close-knit community dedicated to helping others.
Adam married his beloved wife, Leiah, on February 1, 2020, after a decade of love and companionship. Although their time as a married couple was brief, it was filled with countless cherished memories and a deep bond. Together, they created a vibrant home grounded in faith, love, and a touch of delightful chaos. Their family expanded with the adoption of several pets, including Louis, Winston, Bridget, Harrison, Newton, Maybellelynn, Puppy the Lizard, and Pickle the parrot. Adam's compassion extended to all creatures, as he was always ready to assist animals in need, equipped with leashes and treats in his car.
The impact of Adam's life is beyond words, immeasurable, and profoundly felt by all who knew him. His spirit will be celebrated every day by those who loved him.
Adam is survived by his wife, Leiah Lousig-nont; his parents, Greg and Diana Lousignont; his brother, Arin (Melissa) Lousignont; his sister, Alex (Zachary) Sawyer; his nephews, Rhett and Oliver; his nieces, Kay and Isla. He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his cousin Ashley, and his “soul dog” Ferdinand. They, along with many others, warmly welcomed him at the gates of Heaven.
Adam Joseph Lousig-Nont, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend—thank you for the laughter, wisdom, and moments shared. You will always be cherished and remembered with love.
A Memorial Mass for Adam will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 11:00am at St.Viator Catholic Church 2461 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89121
