Alice Kay Pretasky

On February 27, 2026, 2026 Alice K. Pretasky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed from this life. Mom was beloved by her family and friends and was fiercely loyal to them.

She had a long career at the United States Postal service, first as a letter carrier and then as a clerk at the Downtown office. After retirement, she enjoyed visiting with family and friends as well as traveling. She particularly enjoyed her membership in the Red Hat Society.

Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 45 years, Ronald Pretasky, Sr. as well as a brother Thomas and a sister Ruby June. She is survived by her two brothers Joseph Planck and Timothy Planck, a son Ronald Pretasky, Jr., a daughter Deborah Johnson, five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Although she will be greatly missed, we are all comforted that she is at peace and in the company of loved ones who have passed on as well as her beloved dogs.

Visitation will be held at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, US, on March 27, 2026, from 8:30-9:30am, followed by a Funeral Service at Palm Southwest Mortuary at 9:30am. Burial will follow at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City beginning at 12pm.
