Altha Marie Sanders

Altha Marie Sanders was born November 8, 1944 in San Francisco, California, to the proud parents of Walter and Velma Young. She was baptized at an early age at Evergreen Baptist Church, San Francisco, California, where she was a faithful member. After graduating from High School, she attended Nursing School where she met her future husband and obtained a Register Nursing Degree.

Altha married Jesse L. Sanders on June 6, 1966 in San Francisco, California. They lived in San Leandro, California, until they moved to Hayward, California, in 1971. She united with Palm Ceia Baptist Church, Hayward, California, where she was a faithful member and served on the Usher Board. In October 2002, Altha and Jesse relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2004, she united with Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Las Vegas, Nevada.

She worked as a Register Nurse for 25 years. She retired from Alameda County in December 2002. During the course of her career she received numerous awards and certificates. Altha love to travel the United States with her husband Jesse in their mobile home. They were members of the Happy Wanders RV Club, of the Greater Bay Area, California and after moving to Las Vegas they joined the Original Las Vegas Rolling Wheels RV Club.

Altha was a beautiful caring woman who loved the Lord and people. She loved giving; she cared for her family, relatives, friends, and always found time to respond to the needs of others. She was Loved by all.

Altha became Heaven Bound to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday September 14, 2016.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Jesse; one God daughter Danielle (Erick) Germany of North Las Vegas; four Godsons Zaren, Zachary, Zayden, and Zian Crockett of El Sobrante, CA; one aunt Bernice Marshall of Richmond, CA; one niece Constance Jackson of San Francisco, CA; four nephews Doniquel Perry of Milwaukee, Wl, Tyrone Jackson of San Francisco, CA, Rickey (Karen) Jackson of Sacramento, CA, and Lester (Pat) Jackson of Vallejo, CA; six sisters-in-law Julia Sanders and Ann Randall of Las Vegas, NV, Lillie Litzsey of Henderson, NV, Nina Sanders of Oakland, CA, and Lou Cathy of Castro Valley, CA, Liz (John) Jones of Fort Worth, TX; one brother-in-law Ted (Mary) Sanders of Oakland, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death her parents Walter and Velma Young of Las Vegas, NV; and two sisters Constance Jackson and Loretta Perry of San Francisco, CA.
