Alvin John Patrias

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of my amazing Dad, Alvin J Patrias, 91. He entered heaven peacefully on April 23, 2025. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a dear friend to many. Born in St Cloud, Minnesota, married Eilene Schwartz on September 30, 1954 until her passing on August 14, 2000. Almost 46 years of blissful marriage.

Alvin was a veteran of the US Navy and received the “Good Conduct Medal”. Thank you for your service dad! Alvin worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Local 12 from 1958 until his retirement in 1991. During that time, he also served as the Apprenticeship Coordinator.

After his retirement he took up gardening and travel. Al, was always so proud of his garden, especially his tomatoes! He found joy in the simple moments visiting with his family and friends. Always asking if you needed anything. There are many memories of his travels, he was never lost however, sometimes we just didn’t know where he was! Patricia Pritt was his travel partner and great friend until her passing.

He is survived by his daughters, Julie Burrus and Patricia Christensen, grandchildren, April and Nick Burgess, DJ Patrias, Kimmy Hunter, Scott and Brandon Patrias, Amanda Patrias, Thomas and Emily Clark, Johnathan and Elisha Clark, Patrick and Lynee Christensen, great grandchildren, Tai Roybal, Quinn Burgess, Oren Burgess, Winona Clark, Morgan Clark, Autumn Clark, Tess Hunter, and Lilly Christensen.

Alvin may have left this world and his love and legacy will continue to live in our hearts and all who knew him.

A visitation for Alvin will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at King David Memorial Chapel & Cemetery, 2697 E Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120. A committal service will occur Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
