

Andrew August Hohn, 86, went to Heaven on January 25th, 2015 in his Las Vegas home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 15th, 1928 in Shawano, Wisconsin to Andrew and Louise Hohn. He married Marilyn Louise Johnson from Pasadena, California on 10/19/1950. He is survived by his daughters Dru Lynn Eckhardt and Robin Louise Giese; son Dana Andrew Hohn; grandchildren Kevin Eckhardt, Amber McKissick, Kendrick Eckhardt and Josh Giese; great-grandchildren Autumn, Andy and Macie McKissick, Kaila, Tatum, Ian, and Evan Eckhardt, Tate, Addison, and Colton Giese, Kaydence and soon to be baby Karlysle Eckhardt. Andrew worked as a carpenter in California for over 30 years, framing much of Southern California. He had a passion for gardening, building, and remodeling homes. He planted and tended an amazing Garden of Eden in the blistering heat of Las Vegas that hosted many weddings and parties. He loved the Lord and accepted Jesus as his Savior at a Billy Graham Crusade. He liked riding motorcycles, and traveling on the Mississippi River Boat Cruises. He adored taking care of his best friend, a German Shepherd, named Billy. Andrew loved his family, especially visiting with his 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed teaching his grandsons tools of his trade while they were growing up. He adored his granddaughter and always loved her smile. A Celebration of Life will be held at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123 on Monday, February 2 at 12:00, followed by a graveside service at 1:00, with a Celebration reception at 2:00 in Andy’s Garden, 7541 Pearwood Ct, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
