Antonio Higareda was born May 12, 1941 in Sahuayo, Michacan, Mexico. Antonio was the second oldest of four children to Antonio Higareda and Rosario Venegas. He came to the United States, at the age of 19, and worked as a bus boy in California. He met his beautiful wife, Lupe Gomez, in 1969. He said it was “love at first sight!” He was right, because she would soon become his wife when they married June of that same year! When he married Lupe he also became the father of her children: Eugene, John, and Karen Alvarez. Later they had three children together, all girls: Sandra, Debrah and Angela Higareda. He worked for R.J. Noble, an asphalt paving company, where he started as a laborer. His hard work paid off as he moved his way up. He later retired after 30 years and left as a Foreman, the best job for this BOSS of a man. Antonio is survived by his lovely wife of 44 years, Lupe Higareda; his children: Eugene, John, Karen, Sandra, Debrah and Angela; and his amazing grandchildren: Connie Moreno (27), Zachary Alvarez (17), Celina Alvarez (15), Giana Alvarez (11), Madison Pierce (10), Aspen Pierce (8), and Xavier Davila (7).
