It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Arlinda Johnson on May 23, 2024. Arlinda was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. Her journey was marked by strength, resilience, and kindness, always offering a helping hand.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on September 7, 1952, Arlinda's life took her to Alaska in 1970, where she embraced the beauty of the outdoors through camping and fishing. She generously devoted her time to the Wasilla Lioness Club and expressed her creativity through her remarkable talents as a painter and artist. In 2021, she made the move to Las Vegas, Nevada, seeking both improved health and the embrace of the sun.
Arlinda is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Sidney Martin and Anna May Beshers, and her brother, Robert Duke Martin. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by her son, Brett Johnson; her grandchildren, Aria and Mia Johnson; her brother, Kenneth Martin; and her nieces, Genia and Rayette Martin.
Arlinda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
