

Bette Jane Rubino Eads, 92, beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away in the comfort of her Henderson, Nevada home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Bette was born in 1920 in Monroeville, Indiana to Ralph and Helen Meese Bower. She graduated from Monroeville High School in 1938. After high school she moved to Fort Wayne, where she met Michael James (Jim) Rubino. They were married in 1946 and had five children. Jim died in 1961. She married, Richard A. Eads in 1970 and moved to Paris, Illinois. She was a long-time member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Gamma Chapter serving as National Publicist for the sorority’s 1955 National Convention, and later founding the sorority’s Nu Psi Chapter in Paris, Illinois, where she served as the Chapter’s president for four years. Bette enjoyed painting, crocheting, traveling, and visiting with her family. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; her daughter Myra J. Weber; four brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Faurote; her son Michael Rubino; her three daughters, Janine Bathurst, Michele Rubino, and Betsy Rubino-Holtzinger; nine beloved grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
