

Bruce J. Berman, 73, of Las Vegas, Nevada, went to heaven on December 23, 2015 at St Rose San Martin Hospital. He was born on February 16, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Bernice Berman. He met the love of his life, Marie at Bankers Life & Casualty Co. in Chicago, Illinois. They were happily married for 36 years. Bruce went to the Walton School of Accounting in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the Army from 1965 - 1967. Bruce also coached and refereed many basketball and volley ball games. He worked for Sears and Bankers Life & Casualty Co. in Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993. At the MGM, he worked in Human Resources - Benefits then transferred over to Bellagio and was an Employee Relations Rep. When he retired he wanted to get a dog, so he volunteered at The Animal Foundation and met his best buddy, Spunky. Bruce then went on to volunteer at the St Rose Siena Hospital as a Patient Advocate Ambassador. He, along with Spunky, who became a therapy dog, brought much comfort to many patients in pediatrics to same day surgery and staff. Bruce was a true Chicago fan of all his favorite teams, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and White Sox. He loved taking Spunky for her walks, get together with friends, his volunteering and taking trips to visit family and friends out of state. And lastly, a nice relaxing cruise. Donations may be made to The American Heart Association or The Animal Foundation. A viewing will be held on December 29, 2015, from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary. A Mass will be held on December 30, 2015, at 10:00am at St Francis of Assisi.
