Carl Gioannini

He was born July 26, 1961 at St. Catharine’s General in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada to Carl and Sharon Gioannini. Carl has two brothers, Joe and George (pre-deceased), and a sister Lisa. He found his soul mate and partner for life at the age of 19; he married the love of his life Sandra Riggi on June 28, 1986 in Niagara Falls, New York.

Carl worked at the MGM for 23 years and was a part of the 501 International Union of Operating Engineers. He also was the Assistant Supervising Usher in the Grand Garden Arena where he influenced many people and got to enjoy many shows. Carl loved golfing, card games, playing bingo, and spending quality time with his wife and children. Carl always loved hosting parties allowing everyone to enjoy good food, great company and drinks. Carl welcomed everyone in with open arms, a warm heart and always a smile.

Carl is survived by his wife, Sandra; his daughters Racquel (James) Whitworth, Nina, Brittany, and Chelsea all of Las Vegas, Nevada…all of who will continue to honor the legacy Carl created; father Carl Gioannini Sr. (late Sharon) of Niagara Falls, New York; the late George Gioannini (brother), brother Joseph Gioannini of Niagara Falls, New York; sister Lisa (Ronald) Allen of Las Vegas, Nevada; mother-in-law Anna Riggi (late Benjamin) of Niagara Falls, New York; sisters-in-law Luci (Arcangelo) Casale, Francesca (Anthony) Gabriele, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Casale; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at King David Memorial Chapel & Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on July 8, 2016 from 10:00am - 11:00am at St. Thomas More Catholic Community followed by a Committal Service on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
