

Carmen Santamaria passed away at age 99 on August 7, 2020, in Henderson, Nevada. Carmen was born in the Pangasinan, Philippines and lived in Manila and in Baguio. She moved permanently to the Bay Area, California around 1975 to be closer to her family.
Carmen’s first husband, Warren Swann McClure (John), passed away in 1958. She then married Enrique Santamaria (Iking) who passed away in 1989.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, lola, who would do anything for her family. She took care of and basically brought up many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carmen’s greatest joy was to spend time with her family, especially the younger ones. Each time a great-granddaughter or great-grandson would visit her, the smile on her face was proof of her happiness.
In addition to her immediate family, Carmen loved and supported her extended family. A number of her nieces and nephews have expressed their gratitude for the love, guidance and care they received from her.
She leaves behind her children: Virginia Jimenez, Halbert McClure and Susan McClure, Mary Jane Ramirez and Barry Ramirez, Rose Marie McClure, Reena de la Vega, Evelyn Antone and Francis Antone, Lynda Munsayac and their families. In addition, she leaves behind her grandchildren: Anthony Jimenez, Emily Wilks, Michael McClure, Stella Withey, AJ McClure and their families. Carmen’s granddaughter, Kay Jacinto and family, have provided so much love and support in preparation for the funeral services. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she also leaves behind great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Carmen also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and friends all over the country and the world.
Church service for Carman Santamaria will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89052 on September 22, 2020, 10:00am.
The Urn placement to follow at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, LV,NV, 89123 at 12:00 noon.
