Poem by Quinn Winter
The sun still rises just not as bright You added to its guiding light The sun still rises proving life goes on However a little darker and dreary now that you’re gone The sun still rises providing light for this grand stage Knowing you won’t answer the curtain call for the rest of age The sun still rises from the east and sets in the west Following the same path you traveled till your final rest The sun still rises providing a bright orange glow Just like your personality and soul for the whole world to know The sun still rises providing warmth for the world Just like you did when my heart felt cold The sun still rises proving life keeps rolling on Now it’s my turn so I can keep your memory living on The sun still rises to this I can attest Until that day we meet again when it’s time for my final rest
