Claire Marie Valletti

Claire was one of Twin Daughters, born to Stephen & Helen Okopinski in Mount Carmel, PA. Claire would fondly be remembered as the Identical “Twinner” to Agnes Mezzatesta. Preceded in death by brothers John and Kaz Okopinski, Sister Helen Cress and beloved twin sister Agnes. Claire moved to New Jersey, where she met and married Michael Miller. They raised daughters Michele and Debbie in Edison, NJ. Claire and Michael moved to Las Vegas in 1973, and became active members at Holy Family Catholic Church. Michael Miller passed away in 1977. In May 1980, Claire married Primo Valletti. They had a wonderful life together; full of Faith, Family and Friends. In earlier years Claire worked for a tour company, greeting visitors and selling show tickets. Claire also volunteered at Desert Springs Hospital, logging in over 60,000 hours. In later years, Claire was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but she never forgot her Family or her Faith. Claire devoutly prayed the Rosary till the day she passed. We pray she is at Peace in Heaven. Claire is survived by daughters, Michele Miller Spathis (Dimitri), Debbie Gennuso (Andy); sons Gene Valletti (Marie) and Joe Valletti; youngest sister Theresa Van Huele (Edgar); seven Wonderful Grandchildren, Gina Riddle (Jason), Steven Valletti, Drew Gennuso (Simone), Nick Gennuso, Gia Gennuso, Michael Gennuso, Athena Spathis; and one Great-Grandson Nicholas Riddle. Viewing will be Thursday, November 19th from 4-7pm, Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123. Funeral Services will be Friday, November 20th with a Rosary beginning at 9:15am followed by Mass at 9:30am held at Holy Family Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89121. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting to make a donation in Claire’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org
