Darlene Yacapin Yonke

In Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii on July 5, 1975 Darlene Y. Yonke was born. Shortly after her birth, the family of six made their way to different small towns located in California, where the family grew from six to eight; she gained a younger brother and sister. Darlene's family finally settled in Delano, California, where her mother and father went to work as field workers.

Even though coming from very humble beings, she was never short of love, compassion and generosity. Oh, and let's not forget how stubborn and hard-headed she was! After spending quite a few years in California, she eventually made a different turn in her journey and ended up in Las Vegas, Nevada where she will be spending rest of her time; this where she will have her first marriage with Arnold Mercado.

Then in March of 1995, she introduces her first child, Nicholas Andrew Mercado. In the beginning of 2002, seven years after their first child, Karina Jaide Mercado was born. A few years later, Darlene had her third and final child, Madison Jhenna Yonke, with her second husband, Michael James Yonke. Even though with the loss of both of her parents, she kept her head held high with her children and family being her main priority.

Darlene's heart was always filled with pure joy and happiness. She would always have time to help anyone, no matter how busy she was with her hectic schedule. Though her passing was very abrupt, she had left a small piece of her in everyone she knew…leaving a message with us without even saying a word.
