Denise Helm

Denise Helm, 54, a long-time resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away on October 2, 2018 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family after a bravely fought battle against cancer.

She was born on July 30, 1964 in Suffern, New York to Connie and Rue Parsells. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with her family when she was 14.

She began working at Sunrise Hospital as a receptionist when she was 19. This is where she met the love of her life and husband, Jon. She worked her way up the ranks and became very well-respected in the healthcare industry. She ended her career at Optum 360 as Client Services Executive.

Her happiest times were spent on vacation with her family on the beaches of Florida. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Everybody that met with her fell in love with her charm, outgoing personality and smile. She will be dearly missed by all her family and lifelong friends.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jon, and her two sons, Steven and Nick.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, with Services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, both at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
