I don’t even know where to start. When I heard the news, it shocked me to my core. I’m still in disbelief. But I can honestly say Desta lived up to his name. From what I’ve seen, he always brought joy to the people around him. He made people laugh, made people smile, no matter the situation. A man who was always cracking jokes and just loved to lift others up.

This is a tremendous loss. My thoughts and prayers are with Aman and Hosanna.

The news of your sudden passing left me speechless. It's difficult to process grief when it comes like this, like a bolt from the blue.

Even though life took us down different paths and we didn't have the opportunity to spend much time together, the blood bond was never broken. I always knew you were there, and I've always carried with me the memory of the moments we saw each other.

I'm sorry I didn't have the time to get to know you better, to deepen that understanding that remained on the surface. I will carry with me the regret of these silences, but also the certainty that, deep down, we were connected.

May you rest in peace. A hug to you, wherever you are, and a fond thought goes out to my cousin Emanuel, his dear mother, and the rest of our extended family, because we are and always will be one extended family. I love you immensely, your Fagu ♥️

Desta - I miss you dearly. I’ve always cherished the memories I have with you, especially the summer vacations spent in Las Vegas when I was a young kid. I will cherish these moments even more now. There was never a dull moment with you — your ability to make anyone laugh is a gift that only few have, thank you for sharing this gift with the world. Thank you also for your overflowing kindness, genuine compassion, and humble strength that always made me feel loved, cared for, and secure. Our family lost a giant on March 16 but your spirit with forever remain in our hearts. I love you more than words can describe. Rest in peace, uncle Desta.
