

Dolores Harris (Pfahl) 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Henderson, NV April 19, 2022. She was the only child of Theodore and Rose Pfahl, both educators in Portland, OR. She was born in The Dalles, OR 1939. She grew up in Portland, OR and attended Grant High School followed by OSU where she was an Alpha Phi and earned her degree in Elementary Education. She met the love of her life Michael Harris in college. They married in 1962 following a year of teaching in Sunnyvale, CA. She became a military wife and moved 16 times in 25 years. Mom’s beauty was in her resilience which she proved by beating cancer 3 times. She was an outstanding Air Force Commander’s wife, supporting military families and mentoring Air Force wives at RAF Woodbridge, UK and Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV. She volunteered countless hours to wives clubs, military charities and multiple White House Events during Ronald Reagan's Presidency. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and International PEO for 39 years, a substitute teacher in the CCSD and proudly served the Republican Women of Henderson. Among her favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, snow/water skiing, ice skating, boating and travel. When she was not busy being an excellent wife, mom and grandma, she made a very good friend. She shared her goodness and will be long remembered.
She is survived by her family, her son Aaron (Lisa) Harris, and daughters Jennifer (Joe) Potmesil and Andrea (Alex) Moore and seven grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held June 4, 11am at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102. Live streaming will be available from church website.
