

Edward Thomas McLoughlin, 76, a resident of Las Vegas, NV passed away on August 20, 2014. He was born on September 13, 1937 to Mary Reape McLoughlin and Patirick McLoughlin. Edward has 7 siblings- John, Patrick, Mary, Henry, Ann, Rita, and Betty. Edward found his soul mate when he married Sharon Chakansky in 1973. Eddie graduated High School in New York and enlisted in the U.S. Marine CORPS. He served his country from 10/20/54 to 2/17/56. He loved being a NYPD Police Officer at the 60th Precinct in Coney Island, NY from 1962 to 1979. He also worked at Remco Corp & York Ladder Company in NY. Then Edward worked as a LT. of Security at Vacation Village Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus in New York. The 10-13 Club, and the Volunteer Homeland Reserve Unit in Southern Nevada. Eddie was the life or the party. He was always cooking and known as the “Grill Master”. You could often find him sitting at the table playing cards with his friends or family with a gin and tonic in his hand. Edward is survived by his wife, Sharon. His daughters Colleen and Erin, his son Michael, his 2 son in-laws Dana and Frank. Eddie has 7 grandchildren – Matthew, Chris, Caitlyn, Jessica, Collin, Edward, and Stephanie. Funeral Service will be held from 4 to 8 August 21, 2014 at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Burial will be held at National Cemetery on Monday August 25, 2014.
