All I can say is that Edward Skowronski was full of life! I loved being married to him. He made life an adventure where ever we went! I met Ed in 1996 - our first date was an AC/DC concert-funny that neither one of us really liked the band then but grew to love them because that date was something special! We were married in October of 1998 and one thing I remember before walking down the aisle was my parents asking if I was nervous and I said "nervous -no-I'm excited!" That was what our marriage was EXCITING. He made sure that no matter where we went or where we stayed that it would not be boring! Ed from the time we met till the time he passed always put me first! He was amazing like that and I never took it for granted!
He was also a devoted friend! When he promised someone something he did everything in his power to deliver on it! I'm still amazed at all the stories of what Ed was like prior to when we met. He made such an impact on people that I was so proud to be his wife! He cherished the relationships he had with people more than anything!
As a father-he was so loving and giving! I remember when I was pregnant with our oldest we decided not to find out what we were having (he wanted a boy so bad) I had to have a C-section and when they pulled her out he mistakenly took the umbilical cord for something else and was jumping up and down yelling "it's a boy, it's a boy" the room went silent and the doctor said "no Ed your daughter is not that well endowed!" From that day on she had him wrapped around her finger-nothing was to good for his princess (we did have one more-but Ed waited this time for a good visual before he started jumping up and down and yelling "it's a girl!"
Lastly, there was nothing that Ed couldn't do! Really! He could start a company, and another one, and another one, fix a car, tile a floor, build a computer from scratch, and design a pool. Can't was never in his vocabulary he would always say "Let's see how we can get it done!" I hope that I will be able to pass that zest for life on to his girls!
I know that right now Ed is in Heaven networking God's computers, updating the angels with the latest technology and he has re-designed and re-arranged Heaven at least 2-3 times. I miss you sweetheart and I know that when I get to Heaven you will make sure it will not boring and that you will have adventures planned. However, I have to take care of your princesses and get them where they need to go in life before we meet again! I love you!
