

Elizabeth (Betty) Rose Mortillaro-Bryan, 85, of Henderson, Nevada, crossed over to the other side on Saturday, November 2, 2013. She was born January 30, 1928 to Louis and Catherine Mortillaro, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and was a 34-year resident of Clark County.
Betty was an Honor Student, cheerleader, and homecoming queen at Sacred Heart High School in Fort Dodge and attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa. Betty was active in the Delta Theta Chi Sorority and also served as National President. She was a world traveler and needed no excuse to go on an ocean cruise. She was active in the St. Thomas More Catholic Community Parish. Betty loved to entertain her family and friends, and was noted for her great Italian meals and hospitality. She was a loyal friend and mentor with a generous heart. She was a successful business woman who supported local and national organizations.
She will be missed!
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Gil, in 1996. Betty is survived by her children Bob, Susan, and Bentley; her grandchildren Holly, Melissa, Tony, and Mike; great-grandchildren Olivia, Sadie-Jane, Jake, and Sienna; brothers Jim (Irene) Mortillaro and Dr. Louis Mortillaro; and nephews Ross and Darren.
A visitation and rosary will be held from 3-7pm, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Palm Mortuary on 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be held at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson, Nevada on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Brain Institute.
