It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Stewart on November 4th, 2024. She was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1961 with her family. Betty started as a cashier at the Mint, and went on to work for Boyd Gaming for many years, and retired as the cage manager at the California. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and volunteering at her local church. She built a community of friends, and was always around to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart, and daughter, Sarah 'Sadie' Lyon. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Milner (Brian), son, Sandy Stewart, and son-in-law, Jim Lyon. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123, followed by a reception from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
