

Faun D. Crain-Olsen, 81, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on February 7, 2014 at Nathan Adelson Hospice. She was born to Leonard M. Bowman and Ethel D. (Senter) Bowman on July 24,1932 in Lewiston, ID. She was raised in Spokane, WA, graduating from Lewis & Clark High School in 1950. She lived in Nevada for 60 years, residing in Las Vegas since 1961. Faun worked at the Algiers Hotel for over 35 years. She was an active member of O.E.S, Daylite Chapter #30 since 1967. Faun was devoted to her extended family and friends and believed in giving to others. She was elegant in both her manner and style. Faun was generous, kind, thoughtful and loved to smile and laugh with everyone. Faun adored her poodles and they were her constant companions throughout her life. She loved and spoiled her poodles as much as she spoiled and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. All of us have benefitted from her love and devotion. She loved to travel and loved to people watch whenever possible. Faun was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Crain, her husband of 39 years, her youngest daughter, Karen L. Crain, sister Diane Wilson and brother Robert Bowman. Faun is survived by her husband, David Olsen; daughters, Penny Rae Kleinknecht (George), Colletta Mattern (John); brother, L.M. Bowman (Lynda); brother-in-law Mike Crain (Kathy); sisters-in-law Billy Jean McBride, Mebble Hansen (Gene), LalMell Auldridge, Helen Kwalwasser, Cora Shiply (Bill) and Sheila Call (Dan). She has six grandchildren, William Kleinknecht (Kathy), Heather Rae Brown (Joe), Robert Kleinknecht (Juana), Faun Botor (Daniel), Christopher Ginac and John Mattern . She is also survived by nine great grandchildren: Bill Jr., Alexandria, Destiny, Brynis, Andrew, Joseph, Christian, Alex and Ava Rae. Faun also has numerous loving nieces & nephews. Faun had an immense impact and all benefitted from her love and devotion. She touched many lives and will be forever remembered, missed and loved by all who knew her.
