

Florence Brems passed away on April 6, 2015 in Henderson, NV at the age of 93. She was born Florence Pauline Schoen on March 24, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the eldest of six children. Florence was an avid mystery reader. She loved to sew and made clothes for herself, and later made matching dresses for her daughters. Florence loved to dance especially the jitterbug. Florence was engaged to Matthew R. Brems on Pearl Harbor Day. They married two months later in February 1942. Florence was a sewing machine operator, a beautician, and a factory worker. Matthew was a barber and postal worker. They had three children Florence, Loretta, and Matthew. The family moved to the Philly suburb of Levittown in 1968. They lived there for over thirty years. Florence and Matthew put all three children through college. After retirement, Florence and Matthew were active in senior centers, and traveled extensively -- Alaska, Canada, Europe, Hawaii and more. They were married for 58 years. Florence moved to the Pine Run Community in Doylestown, PA in 2002. She moved to Nevada in 2012. Florence had three grandchildren: Olivia 22, Addison 17 and Dannon 9. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
