

It is with heavy hearts that the loving family of Frederick Arnold Diamond, a distinguished gentleman, announces his passing on January 3, 2024 at Nathan Adelson Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Los Angeles, to Sam and Faye Diamond, Fred, and his parents moved to Las Vegas in 1945 residing in the Huntridge neighborhood on 11th Street. His brother, Stephen, was born in 1946, and in 1959, they moved to 6th Street and Oakey Blvd, where Sam lived until 1997.
Fred’s educational journey began at John S. Park Elementary School, where he excelled with straight A’s multiple times. He earned the American Legion School Award for honor, courage, scholarship and leadership. Notably, he became the Clark County marble champion, and showcased his basketball skills while on the John S. Park team, by winning the city free throw championship.
In 1960, Fred graduated from Las Vegas High School and continued his academic pursuit at USC, graduating in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in business. Concurrently, he joined the National Guard in 1962, marking the beginning of a dedicated professional career.
Fred’s tenure at an Institutional Brokerage Firm, and his forty year career as a stockbroker garnered him various awards. Additionally, he earned opportunities for international travel, including trips to China and Ireland. His commitment to excellence extended to all aspects of his life.
Family was paramount to Fred. In 1973, Fred married Karen (Dickstein) Diamond. Fred’s two sons, Jeff and Brian were born in 1976 and 1979. They became the joy and pride of his life. In 1996, Fred met and married Linda (Iafolla) Diamond. With Fred’s quick wit, and superb sense of humor, they enjoyed twenty eight years of marriage filled with laughter, travel, theater, music and the appreciation of the goodness in life. And, to Fred’s delight, his son Brian, and his daughter-in-law, Karen, became parents to his precious grandchildren, Jack Matthias (4) and Esme Faye (2).
A true Renaissance man, Fred mastered many crafts including poker championships, racquetball tournaments, tennis matches, and golf outings. His vast knowledge, education, and proficiency spanned across diverse fields, leaving a lasting legacy of a fine gentleman who embraced life’s richness.
In memory of Frederick Arnold Diamond, may his legacy of honor, courage, scholarship and leadership endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 on February 26, 2024 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery 2697 Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89120 A devoted gathering will follow.
