

George Edward Hill (nickname “Ripple J”) was born on October 20, 1944 to Kathryn Ransom Pash and Delmond Maurice Hill. George attended grade school and middle school in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he lived with his father, but attended and graduated high school from Bardstown High School in 1962. That was Bardstown, Kentucky’s first high school graduation after integration. Immediately following graduation, Eddie enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his tour of duty in England, he met his future wife-to-be Jennifer. After 20 years of active duty, he retired from the Air Force and worked many years for MacDonald Douglas aviation, until he and his wife Jennifer settled in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eddie was a child of God and attended the First Baptist Church of Bardstown, Kentucky. Eddie was preceded in death by his father and step-mother Delmond and Helen Hill; his mother and step-father Kathryn and James W. Lewis Sr.; three brothers Jeffery Scott Lewis, Perry Jerome Lewis, and Russell Leon Douglas Jr.; and his uncle George E. Pash. He is survived by his wife Jennifer; four brothers James W. (Butch) Lewis Jr. (Judy), Ronald D. Lewis (Anna), Gerald P. Lewis (Barbara), and Adrian Ray Lewis; two sisters Myra L. Mayes (James) and Audrey Kay Lewis; sister-in-law Annis Douglas of New Jersey; aunts Sue Mae Smith of Louisville, Kentucky and Jessie Pash of North Carolina; sixteen nieces and nephews; five step-children in England; and a host of other relatives and friends.
