

Georgia Grant Adams, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 1, 2012. She was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Montgomery, Ala., and was a 45-year resident of Nevada. She was a retired seamstress, avid bowler, and member of Unity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. Walter Adams Sr.; and son, Walter Adams Jr. She is survived by sons, Kenneth E. Adams, and Vincent P. Adams; daughters, Scherrie (Glenn Allen Sr.) Adams-Ambre and Sharon Y. (Robert Nelson) Dockter; daughter-in-law, Yvette Adams; grandchildren, Kendria Adams, Christianson (Megan) Dockter, Markeesha (Ronnie) Phillips, Vencient-Michael, Courtenay and Chardonnay Adams-Ambre; great-grandchildren, Derivan, Keeley, Aliyah and Lakota Dockter; sister, Mary E. "Ann" Latimer. The family would like to thank all of Georgia's the many friends for their deeds and expressions of kindness during this time. Viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S.
