

Gerald “Jerry” Marks, 87, a retired general manager for a floor covering company, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born on November 18, 1927, in Youngstown, OH to Julius and Lillian Markowitz (nee Lazar) and was a Henderson resident since 1995. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated with a business degree from Ohio State University and loved his Buckeyes. He enjoyed bowling and followed the stock market daily. Jerry is preceded in death by Adele, his beloved wife of 57 years; his parents; brother, Irwin; and step-brother, Hyman Berman. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Numrich of Las Vegas and Judi (Dan) Cohen of Cincinnati, OH; son, Norman (Sarah) of Henderson; four step-sisters, Hilda Manello of Youngstown, OH, Deborah Ozer of Minnesota, Bertha Froomkin of Youngstown, OH, and Ruth Briefman of Sarasota, FL; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Steve) Fingerman, Rebecca (Josh) Weinstein, and Allison Cohen; and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Fingerman and Olivia Weinstein. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Chapel. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to charity of choice. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
