Gordon Glenville Pickard, 87, of Henderson, passed away Oct. 9, 2011. He was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Leonard, Texas, and was a resident of Nevada since 1958. Gordon served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired forklift operator at the Nevada Test Site. Gordon is survived by his son, Gordon W. (Cindy L.) Pickard; granddaughters, Stephanie, Tammy, Cindy and Donna; grandsons, Duane, Buddy, Robert, Richie, Jayson and Will; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Gordon was a loving father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all.
