Gregory Scott Galvez, born on March 1, 1960, in Walsenburg, Colorado, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 65. Greg was a maintenance supervisor with Colorado State Parks and a maintenance worker with the Colorado Department of Transportation with a combined 30 years of state service. During this time Greg was also a member of the Colorado National Guard working as a jet engine mechanic. He retired as a Master Sergeant with 19 years in the Air Force and 4 years in the Marines. He is survived by his wife Tara and 3 children Breaydan, Mason and Alexus Galvez. His wife and children were at his side at his passing. Greg and his wife Tara moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2018. He was a leader that all looked up to and followed. His positive attitude and love for his family and service to country was what was most admired about him. Greg was exposed to toxins from the Burn Pits in Iraq and suffered complications from Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). Greg did not want a service or memorial, he only wanted his family to be together and remember him. The family asks that In lieu of flowers or cards you remember your best memory of him.
