Harold “Gene” Gomez, 67, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on June 2, 2010, at the Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda ,CA due to complications from surgery. Gene, born on November 7, 1942, was originally from Madison, West Virginia. where he was self employed and former owner of Gomez Exxon. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he was employed as a Poker Dealer at the Stratosphere Casino in Las Vegas. Gene was a beloved husband, father and grandfather as well as an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
Survived by his wife of 28 years, Gail Gomez; his daughters, Christina Roberts, Teresa, Gomez, Gina Gomez and Brandy Gomez, all of Las Vegas, NV; Son-in-law Jesus “Chuy” Gonzales. Grandchildren, BreAnna, Abby, Jacob, Gianni, and Christopher, all of Las Vegas. Sister Evelyn Robinson and Brother Bill Gomez both of North Carolina. Also survived by his mother-in-law, Lurlen Buckner as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews of Madison, West Virginia. Services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Viewing will be from 1:00 to 6:00pm and the memorial service will begin at 6:00pm at the Palm Mortuary on Eastern.
